Show Review

Luxor is 'Fantasy' land

By Judy Jenner

Vegas is made for shows like "Fantasy."

Gorgeous dancers (who are topless during most of the show), interesting choreography, good music, a powerful singer and an intimate theater are the ideal ingredients in this sensual show, which reminds us, once again, why Vegas is Sin City.

Beautiful women have a way of filling the spaces they are in with their mere presence. No one does this better than the eight stunning dancers in "Fantasy." The Atrium Showroom at the Luxor is dominated not only by their presence, but also by their raw energy, sensuality and even their perfumes, which seem to linger in the air.

As is to be expected, the "Fantasy" dancers' bodies are all statuesque, but the show has cleverly cast women of slightly different body types, heights, hair colors and ethnicity. Even their costumes are unique, proving that variety is indeed the spice of life.

The 350-seat showroom is an intimate space, which ensures that you won't miss any of the action on stage. You'll be able to see every high heel, every sexy movement of a leg, every spectacular dance, which were created by renown choreographer Cris Judd.

Singer Stephanie Jordan, who is as sexy as any of the "Fantasy" dancers, injects her powerful vocals into nearly every dance scene. And that's a good thing, as she serves as an enthusiastic connection between the audience and the dancers. Even without the benefit of live music, Jordan flawlessly executes several classic songs while remaining sultry and playful. Comedian Sean Cooper, who serves as eye candy for the females in the audience, is the comic element of the show, and nails his impersonations of Sammy Davis Jr., Tina Turner and Michael Jackson. But this show is all about the women.

The show is based on the universal truth that everyone has sexual fantasies (whether you admit to them or not) that usually don't come true. "Fantasy", as the name implies, makes these a reality, even if it's only on stage.

Many segments of the show include dancers - alone and in groups - playing out classic male fantasies, including the gorgeous secretary, the obligatory cowgirls, the lingerie-clad female lounging in bed with a few of her girlfriends, and the cleverly choreographed S&M scene, which involves two dancers and Jordan being wrapped in a variety of ways with binding cords.

"Fantasy" is an erotic and sultry show that celebrates the female form while showing us the fantasies those bodies create. From the first minutes of the show - which depict the dancers during a photo shoot for their calendar - to the last sexy step, this is a show that will fulfill all your fantasies.
