Sgt. Pepper Live featuring Cheap Trick
Staff Report
Sgt. Pepper Live featuring Cheap Trick is a unique opportunity to hear one of the Beatles' most influential albums performed live by an iconic American rock band. The show will feature a full symphony orchestra, a set designed by René Lagler and audio production by Geoff Emerick, who received Grammy Awards for the engineering of the “Sgt. Pepper Lonely Hearts Club Band” and “Abbey Road.”
Cheap Trick, best known for their singles “I Want You To Want Me” and “Surrender,” teamed up with Emerick in 1980 when they recorded their album, “All Shook Up” with Sir George Martin. Once again they are working together to create some of the most memorable music of all time.
“We are going to make rock ‘n’ roll history by incorporating this legendary American rock group with the music of the Beatles,” said Bill Edwards, producer. “This is a groundbreaking performance that everyone said couldn’t be done live, but Cheap Trick has perfected it.”
